Team Geneva!!

Today my cousin, double first cousin that is, Geneva Childers underwent surgery for a left mastectomy and reconstruction at University of Kentucky Medical Center. This of course came as a surprise to all of us, family and friends. Geneva's mammogram was negative last year. Cancer is such a mean ugly disease!

Of course, we are all praying ever since we heard the news for her healing. But even with that being said we still feel some what helpless. So I have figured out how I can help support Geneva in a small way and I would like to invite all of you to join me!

I will be offering 2 different breast cancer awareness t shirts. A portion of the monies collected will go to Geneva. She will be in charge of how to spend the monies. Whether it be for expenses, new clothes (she is gonna have new breasts) :) or donating it to a favorite charity. It will be her decision.

Below are the pics of the 2 different shirts.  The "I believe in pink" t shirt may vary in the color of pink fabric used. They are $15.00 each. When ordering please send me an email here.  If you want a doggie bandanna, collar or leash let me know. The bandannas will have team Geneva on them. The collar and leashes will be pink.

This is the info I need when you order:

-Team Geneva OR I believe in pink

-Size- sizes go from newborn onesies to adult 6x.

-How you want to pay. You can mail me a check or money order to:

Connie Ridgeway; PO Box 214; Craigsville, WV 26205

or you can use Paypal:

connieridgeway@gmail.com  please send this as personal. By doing it like this no fees will be held
out.

Shirts will not be ordered or made until money is received! The $15.00 will cover cost of shirt, the machine embroidery and shipping. I will also supply Geneva with names of persons who are supporting her in his way.

I will be ordering shirts the middle of next week so please if ordering let me know Sept.4, 2012.

If you are reading this blog and just want to show support to someone special please feel free to order. A portion of all monies will go to Geneva Childers!

Our 4 legged friends need clothes too!!

My 4 legged friends are so excited to see we have added a line of pet clothing, collars, leashes and bows to Cranberry Ridge Design!

Shown above is a sweet dress with a pinafore, matching bow, leash and collar. Fabrics are from Moda. I also use top quality 100% cotton fabrics whether I am making quilts, clothes for 2 legged kids or 4 legged kids. And as always all items can be laundered. Hair bows should be gently hand washed in lukewarm water, and gentle soap. Please do not let your 4 legged kid unattended while they are wearing bows and clothes.

As you can see Lily is not real excited about her modeling gig!!

Hope you enjoyed looking! Will be posting more outfits later!

Take care,

Trick or Treat!!!..Who is ready to greet the goblins??

Trick or Treat is just around the corner and it is time to start looking at all the cute outfits!

Trick or Treat Smell My Feet ringer style t-shirt will tickle any little one! Ours always did like he saying trick or treat smell my feet give me something good to eat!

Next is my first Halloween onesies. With no extra decoration you can dress a boy or girl in this sweet onesie!

I have added a girly touch to My First Halloween onesie. The 2 bows at the upper part of the shirt are attached. The purple and orange bow will look so sweet in baby girl's hair! If she doesn't have enough hair to wear the bow you can have baby girl wear the bow on a stretch hand band.

Below is a closeup of the hair bow. It is triple stacked.

Now who is a Scaredy Cat!!!! This is on a green onesie and can be for either boy or girl.

Decorate Scaredy Cat up with some bows and it is now all girly!!! The hair bow shown is the same one in the pic above.

The girly shirts would be so adorable with a tutu!! Let me know if you would like one to match a shirt and I can twinkle my nose and stitch it up!!!...:)

All the designs I embroider can be placed on a variety of garments and bags. Also, a name can be added to the design.

Thanks so much for looking and I will be adding more Halloween and then oh my it will be time for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Cranberry Ridge Design taking custom embroidery orders!

Cranberry Ridge Design is pleased to announce that we are taking custom embroidery orders! I want to share a few of the cute designs we offer! If there is a design you want and we are not showing it let us know. I am sure we can get that special someone outfitted!

This outfit was inspired by my grand daughter's daddy. Adam would do anything to make his 2 year old smile including wearing her tutu!!! The bow on the back of the tutu has a clasp attached. So, it can be worn on the tutu on in her hair! The hair bow shown on the left shoulder has all the girly things-feathers, korker ribbons and ballet shoes button!

This is a 2 piece romper with sunglasses and Fashion Girl beneath them. Also, I can do the wording Fashion Baby!

Next is a special order for a birthday girl! Her Granny calls her ladybug! I have embroidered her name with a ladybug wearing an attached hair bow and Adyson will have a layered hair bow to wear also!

Above is a sweet summer linen dress for a special occasion!  It is 2 pieces Matching bloomers with embroidery and bows on the bloomers!

Have you heard the story of the Princess and the Pea? You can now re-live this story as you daughter wears the Princess and the Pea! Yes, that is a tiny green pea at the bottom of all those mattresses!!

Above are 2 different layette sets. Little Nite Owl is shown in blue but also can be in pinks or neutral colors.
The second pic is Thank Heavens for Little Blessings! Shown in neutral colors but can also be done in your colors of choice!

Paci holders!! Can't let those babies lose that paci!! I can embroider the initial of choice and attach it to the end with the clip that clips to the baby's clothes. The paci attaches to the other end easily with a snap. I also have the attachment that is needed for the nuk paci's.

Now on to the boys!

Yes, it is Yo Gabba Gabba!! My 18 month grandson's mother tells me this is his favorite show! So, along with Elizabeth's help we made him a shirt to let everyone know who gets him to jump, jump, jump!

Also, Blake is a beach bum at 18 months! They live in Florida so this shirt will be perfect for Blake to wear on beach days!

Also, I can not forget my grandson, Rylee! His mom and I are deciding what he would like on his shirts!

This shirt is perfect for boys, girls and adults! It has the Lorax at the top and written on the grass is "I speak for the trees"!

Remember, I am waiting to hear from you for your custom orders!

Very soon I will be posting pics of adorable Halloween and Christmas outfits!

Thanks for looking!

Nicholas County Kids Summerfest: A Royal Tea Party

Summer festivities are well underway in Nicholas County, WV. The first annual Nicholas County Kids Summerfest was held June 2nd at Veterans Memorial Park in Summersville, WV. Though the festival was geared specifically toward kids, the event featured a host of activities for the entire family to participate in. Craigsville Little League teamed up with the festival committee to earn money for a new batting cage for their park. Various attractions for the event were held to include a pageant for the little ones, a pet pageant, clowns, face painting, a kids photography and art display and contest, an ice cream social, balloons, games and goodies for all.

All attractions were wonderful, but none so special or inviting to the wee princesses of the county than to attend the Royal Tea Party. Twenty plus little princesses were in attendance at the royal celebration. They were each greeted by replica storybook princesses. I am proud to say that the costumes worn by the replica princesses were made by me. The adult princesses read to the children and were available for photo opportunities throughout the event. Each little princess was served a heart shaped cream cheese and jelly sandwich, cupcakes and apple juice in a souvenir tea-cup. Royal fun was had by all and I am sure the event will be a treasured memory by each little princess who attended.

The storybook princesses were each played by local girls of Nicholas County. They each looked lovely in their costume. The event was a huge success. Pam Hayhurst organized the event.

Shown here are a few photos of the replica storybook princesses wearing their costumes. I am proud to have been able to make the costumes for the princesses for this event. Like the little princesses, I am already looking forward to next years Kids Summerfest.
